Role details
Every property title lodged in NSW flows through the systems you'll be helping to shape.
You'll work across business transformation projects, taking requirements from discovery through to delivery. That means writing agile stories, mapping processes, validating acceptance criteria and sitting in design walkthroughs with development teams. You're the bridge between what the business needs and what gets built.
The team operates in an agile environment with a modern data stack that includes SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Snowflake and AWS. You'll report directly to the Head of Applications and work across the business rather than being siloed in one area. The work spans multiple concurrent projects, so no two weeks look the same.
This is a government-adjacent organisation that's been actively modernising its platforms over the past few years. That means the transformation work is real and ongoing, not theoretical. You'll have genuine input into product design decisions, working alongside Product Owners on backlog refinement and requirements scoping rather than just documenting what others decide. If you've worked in environments where BAs get handed a brief and told to write it up, this is a different setup.
What You'll Do
- Gather, document and validate business requirements and acceptance criteria across multiple transformation projects.
- Write agile user stories and assist Product Owners with backlog management and requirements scoping.
- Deliver process mapping and documentation, and participate in design walkthroughs and implementation sessions.
- Ensure test coverage aligns with business rules and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Need
- At least 3 years in a Business Analyst or technical role, with proven experience gathering high-quality requirements.
- Minimum 2 years working with SQL and relational databases, with strong data analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of agile delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
- Exposure to Snowflake or AWS is a genuine advantage.
