Build software that secures critical infrastructure for manufacturing and industrial clients across the globe, fully remote from Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.
You'll design, build and maintain production software across a stack that includes Dart and Flutter, Rust, C# and WebAPI, TypeScript and React, and Postgres. You'll own features end-to-end, from requirements and technical design through to release and production support, and contribute to architecture decisions along the way.
This is a fully remote role with genuine flexibility on how and where you work. The product sits in the cybersecurity space, specifically Secure Remote Access for critical infrastructure clients, so the work carries real weight. You're writing code that protects operational technology environments, not internal tooling. The team works across product, design and engineering, and the expectation is that you'll contribute meaningfully to technical direction, not just execute tickets.
There's a mentoring component here too. You'll review code, share knowledge and help lift the people around you. The role is structured as an individual contributor position, so you're not managing a team, but you are expected to lead technically. If you've got background in networking protocols, Zero-Trust architecture, distributed systems or systems programming, that's genuinely useful here, though it's not a blocker if you're strong in the core stack and keen to learn the domain.
What You'll Do
- Own features through the full development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to release and ongoing production support.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions, documenting trade-offs, alternatives and technical risks clearly.
- Investigate production issues, improve observability and address root causes of recurring problems.
- Mentor engineers through code review, knowledge sharing and improving development practices and tooling.
What You'll Need
- Seven or more years delivering and maintaining production software, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of: Dart and Flutter, Rust, C# and WebAPI, TypeScript and React, or Postgres.
- Solid understanding of software design, APIs, databases and common architectural patterns, plus hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD and version control.
- Experience delivering substantial features independently while working across disciplines with product and design teams.
