Own the full-stack architecture behind a platform processing 1.5 million government voice calls a month.

Role details

Own the full-stack architecture behind a platform processing 1.5 million government voice calls a month.

You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and customer delivery, owning initiatives from first conversation with an enterprise stakeholder through to production. That means designing architecture across the full stack, TypeScript and React on the front end, Python and FastAPI on the back end, Postgres and ClickHouse for data, all deployed into customer cloud environments via AWS CDK and Terraform. You'll also be the person in the room with customers, working backwards from messy business problems to solutions you then go and build.

The team builds with AI agents as standard practice, and they want someone who's already developed their own workflows for it. Prompting strategies, review processes, guardrails, verification steps. You'll help set the bar for how the whole engineering team works with agentic tooling. The interview process reflects this: they'll ask you to walk through specific deliveries where things went sideways, and they genuinely want to see your AI-assisted development practice in action.

This is an early-stage environment with real scale already behind it. You'll get meaningful equity, genuine autonomy over technical direction, and the kind of customer exposure that most principal engineers don't see until they move into a commercial role. The work is distributed across government and enterprise accounts, so no two deployments look the same.

What You'll Do

  • Lead architecture and delivery across the full stack, from React frontend through FastAPI backend to AWS infrastructure, end to end.
  • Engage directly with enterprise and government customers to diagnose problems, shape technical solutions, and stay accountable through to production.
  • Set engineering standards across code quality, performance, security, and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions.
  • Mentor engineers on the team and contribute to evolving how the team builds with agentic AI tooling.

What You'll Need

  • Demonstrated full-stack delivery experience across TypeScript or Python, cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK or Terraform.
  • Proven agentic development practice you can show, including the workflows, tooling choices, and quality controls you've built around it.
  • A track record of direct customer engagement at the enterprise level, diagnosing ambiguous problems and delivering against them.
  • Experience architecting multi-tenant B2B platforms at scale, with strong grounding in distributed systems, data modelling, and API design.

About the Company

They build AI infrastructure for enterprises and government agencies that need to understand and act on millions of customer conversations. Their platform ingests, transcribes, and analyses voice, chat, and email at scale, then deploys production-grade AI voice agents against what it learns. One deployment alone handles over 1.5 million calls a month.
