Role details
Shape how engineering is delivered across a global EPCM network, from governance frameworks to AI-enabled delivery tools.
You'll own a newly created global function responsible for engineering systems, standards and digital capability across an international engineering network. Day to day, that means setting governance frameworks, embedding consistent delivery standards across regions, and driving the adoption of digital engineering tools including BIM, CDE environments and data-led performance insights.
This is a functional leadership role, not an operational delivery role. You'll have real influence over how engineering gets done globally without carrying direct ownership of regional delivery teams. The scope is broad and the mandate is genuine. You're being brought in to build something that doesn't fully exist yet, which means you'll have room to shape the function, the tools and the standards from the ground up.
The company operates across complex, multi-discipline project environments internationally. You'll work closely with regional leadership across different cultures and time zones, so the role suits someone who's used to influencing without direct authority. There's no playbook handed to you. The expectation is that you'll bring the thinking, build the frameworks and get regional teams moving in a consistent direction.
What You'll Do
- Develop and embed engineering governance frameworks and delivery standards across global regions and disciplines.
- Lead the adoption of digital engineering, BIM/CDE environments and AI-enabled tools to improve delivery performance and quality.
- Govern engineering systems, software vendors and strategic technology investments to drive commercial outcomes.
- Use data and performance insights to identify gaps, improve execution consistency and reduce delivery risk across projects.
What You'll Need
- Degree-qualified in engineering with 20+ years of experience across minerals processing, oil and gas, chemical or related sectors.
- Senior EPCM leadership experience covering multi-discipline engineering teams, systems integration and delivery governance.
- Solid working knowledge of BIM/CDE environments and emerging digital engineering capability.
- Demonstrated experience leading change across regions, cultures and complex matrixed organisations.
