Multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, working alongside architects, platform engineers, security teams, and application developers.
You'll design, build, and maintain cloud environments across both AWS and Azure, with a strong focus on automation and reliability. Day-to-day you'll be writing Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, managing containerised workloads on Kubernetes, and supporting cloud migration from on-premises platforms. It's hands-on work across the full platform lifecycle.
The team works across a modern DevOps toolchain. You'll have your pick of pipeline tooling, whether that's Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, and you'll be working with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS and EKS) in production. Security, identity management, and governance are part of the role too, so you'll need to be comfortable configuring cloud controls across both platforms, not just building infrastructure.
This is a role for someone who wants genuine breadth. You're covering two cloud platforms, IaC, containers, pipelines, observability, and scripting across PowerShell, Bash, and Python. There's a lot of surface area, which means you'll rarely be doing the same thing twice. The team works closely across engineering disciplines, so you'll be in regular contact with architects and developers, which keeps the work grounded in real delivery outcomes rather than platform work for its own sake.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain production cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes across AKS and EKS environments.
- Configure cloud security controls, identity management, and governance, and support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
What You'll Need
- Hands-on production experience across both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Terraform as a core skill, with CloudFormation or Azure Bicep as a bonus.
- Experience with at least one CI/CD platform: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Docker and Kubernetes in production, with Helm experience desirable.
