Role details
Your test coverage sits behind every property transaction processed in NSW, billions of dollars of economic activity running through systems you help keep honest.
You'll work across the full testing lifecycle on a portfolio of business transformation projects, from writing and executing test cases across Dev, Test, UAT, and Prod environments, to supporting automation efforts using Postman and Cypress with Cucumber/Gherkin. You'll sit inside the ICT team, reporting to the ICT Portfolio Director, and contribute across every EPMO-led initiative on the books.
This is a regulated environment, and that shapes how the work gets done. Projects are interdependent, governance is real, and you'll need to manage your communication across a broad group of developers, business analysts, and project managers. If you've come from a high-regulation setting before, you'll recognise the rhythm quickly.

What You'll Do
- Execute front-end and back-end test cases across Dev, Test, UAT, and Prod, documenting results and defects accurately.
- Build and run automated tests using Postman for API coverage and Cypress with Cucumber/Gherkin for front-end scenarios.
- Participate in defect triage, contribute to test planning, and help prepare test data and environments for each project.
- Work across the EPMO delivery portfolio, coordinating with developers, BAs, and PMs to keep quality on track.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years in software testing or QA roles, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Practical experience with Postman and Cypress, ideally using Cucumber/Gherkin for behaviour-driven test scripts.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, and comfort working within the Atlassian suite.
- ISTQB certification is desirable, as is prior experience testing across programs of work in a regulated environment.
